The Fazilka police claimed to have busted an interstate intoxicant pill smuggling community right this moment with the arrest of two drug peddlers and recovered 1,15,350 tablets and 51 kg poppy husk from them.
Fazilka SSP Deepak Hilori and SP (Investigation) Ajay Raj Singh stated on a tip-off, the police intercepted a motorbike and arrested Gurcharan Singh, alias Channu, of Muthianwali village and recovered 1,050 intoxicant tablets from his possession close to Asafwala village. He was booked beneath the NDPS Act.
Throughout interrogation Gurcharan reportedly confessed that he used to carry the tablets from Ravinder Singh, alias Ravi, of Pattrewala village. Ravi was additionally nominated within the FIR. The police raided Ravi’s home and arrested him. As many as 20,400 intoxicant tablets, 21 kg poppy husk and Rs 1.77 lakh have been recovered from his possession.
