Sheshandeep Kaur Sidhu, a 25-year-old sarpanch of Manak Khana village in Bathinda district, has introduced glory to the state together with her efforts as her village gram panchayat has been chosen for 2 nationwide awards introduced by the Union Authorities on Sunday.
The awards will probably be offered by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the event of Nationwide Panchayati Raj Day on April 21 in Delhi.
The panchayat has been given the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Empowerment Award for the all-round improvement of the village and work finished in rainwater harvesting and association for waste disposal. The village has additionally obtained the Nana Ji Deshmukh Gaurav Gram Sabha Award for commonly convening gram sabhas to debate the developmental works.
Whereas speaking to The Press Reporter, Sheshandeep Kaur Sidhu, who’s graduate in BSc (agriculture), mentioned, “After turning into the sarpanch, the 2 main works I’ve undertaken within the village are making recharge pits for rainwater harvesting and making a waste disposal mechanism.
