4 held for operating illegal liquor factory

The Panchkula police have arrested 4 individuals allegedly for working an unlawful liquor manufacturing unit from a home in Bhareli village close to Barwala.

The suspects have been recognized as Ankit, a resident of Machhroli in Panipat, Monty, a resident of Liloh village of Shamli district in UP, Kamal and Ravi, each residents of Baghpat in UP.

Raid on a tip-off

The police stated a crew of the CM Flying Squad had acquired a tip-off that some folks have been manufacturing and promoting unlawful liquor from a manufacturing unit, Teqnegma Electronics Pvt Ltd, in Barwala. The suspects have been supplying liquor on the pretext of organising a water filtration system within the close by areas. The police, led by ASI Vinod Kumar and two officers of the Panchkula Excise Division, raided the manufacturing unit.

A crew, led by ASI Vinod Kumar, and two officers of the Panchkula Excise Division raided the manufacturing unit. When the crew entered the premises, it caught the 4 suspects whereas packing the liquor bottles.

The crew discovered 166 cartons of country-made liquor, NV Raseela Santra, seven IMFL bottles of Royal Stag, six-and-a-half drums of liquor, 145 bundles of empty plastic bottles (every bundle consists of 105 bottles), 95 empty glass bottles, 100 empty plastic bottles, half bag of bottle covers, two plastic tank of 5,000 litres crammed with water, an emply 1,000-litre tank, a machine for sealing the bottles, an iron stand, a lab jar, a lab measurement instrument of 500 ML and different supplies.

The police stated throughout the investigations, the suspects revealed that they ready 250 cartons of liquor. The manufacturing unit was being operated by Tarsem and Sanjeev Kumar.

A case was registered underneath Part 61-1-14 of the Punjab Excise Act, Haryana Excise Act and Part 420, 308 and 120-B of the IPC on the Chandi Mandir police station.

All suspects have been produced in a court docket right now which remanded Ankit and Monti in three-day police custody whereas accused Ravi has been despatched to judicial custody.
