BJP reopens Chhath ghat in east Delhi; blames AAP for earlier 'closure'

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Saturday reopened a Chhath ghat close to the Yamuna Financial institution Metro Station, which he claimed was closed down by the earlier AAP authorities in 2020, in accordance with a celebration assertion.

“The Kejriwal authorities used to create obstacles in non secular and cultural festivals, however the BJP authorities led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is celebrating each competition with enthusiasm and spirit,” Sachdeva stated.

There was no rapid response from the Aam Aadmi Get together (AAP) to the allegation.

Sachdeva stated the ghat was reopened at folks’s request.

“By reopening and getting ready this ghat for Chhath, now we have fulfilled the aspirations of the Bihari group dwelling inside a 4–5 km radius, together with in Laxmi Nagar and Pandav Nagar,” he stated.

BJP chief Dinesh Pratap Singh stated the Purvanchali group and the Bihar Jagran Manch of East Delhi “are grateful”, including that the latter had requested Sachdeva to assist reopen the ghat.

The celebration assertion stated the Delhi BJP president “instantly spoke with native officers, obtained permission for the reconstruction of the ghat, and began getting ready it for Chhath”.

Sachdeva visited the ghat beneath the pontoon bridge close to the metro station and took part in a cleanliness drive together with celebration leaders and employees, together with Laxmi Nagar MLA Abhay Verma, Shahdara district BJP president Deepak Gaba, Delhi BJP Purvanchal Morcha president Santosh Ojha, and MCD councillor Sandeep Kapoor, amongst others, it added.
