Kurukshetra : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday participated in a particular programme commemorating the 350th Shaheedi Diwas of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the revered ninth Sikh Guru. PM Modi witnessed the cultural efficiency on the venue, together with a sand portray efficiency depicting the lifetime of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

Guru Tegh Bahadur was the ninth of the ten Sikh Gurus, a revered religious chief, thinker, poet, and warrior, honoured because the “Protector of humanity” (Hind di Chadar). He led the Sikh neighborhood from 1665 till his martyrdom in 1675. His 115 hymns (Shlok Mahalla 9) are an important a part of the Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred scripture of Sikhism. The ‘Dharma Dhwaj’ carries three sacred symbols, Om, the Solar and the Kovidara tree, every representing profound religious values rooted within the Sanatan custom. The appropriate-angled triangular flag measures 10 ft in top and 20 ft in size.

The Kovidar tree is a hybrid of the Mandar and Parijat bushes, created by Rishi Kashyap, showcasing historic plant hybridisation. The Solar represents Lord Rams Suryavansh lineage, and Om is the everlasting religious sound.
