Chandigarh-  In a major step in direction of addressing a deep wound within the Sikh non secular conscience and fulfilling a long-pending demand for justice, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police has registered a First Data Report (FIR) in opposition to sixteen people in reference to the lacking of 328 ‘Saroops’ (holy scriptures) of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji.

On this regard, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan mentioned that Punjab Authorities is not going to tolerate sacrilege of any faith and our authorities is not going to spare anyone who will commit this kind of heinous crime. Guru Sahib ji has guided us to guard all the faith throughout the globe, he mentioned.

Bhai Baldev Singh Vadala counseled the Punjab Authorities for getting a primary info report (FIR) registered in opposition to the culprits who dedicated sacrilege of 328 Pawan “Saroops” of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He urged Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan to go legislation in Punjab Vidhan Sabha to make sure Capital punishment who commits this kind of sacrilege in order that nobody may dare to commit such crime in future and set a powerful instance for society.

These booked have been recognized as Dr Roop Singh, Manjit Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Satinder Singh, Nishan Singh, Paramjit Singh, Gurmukh Singh, Jujhar Singh, Baaj Singh, Dalbir Singh, Kamaljit Singh, Kulwant Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Satinder Singh and Amarjit Singh.

The FIR has been registered beneath sections 295 (injuring or defiling a spot of worship or sacred object with intent to insult a faith), 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts supposed to outrage non secular emotions), 409 (felony breach of belief), 465 (forgery) and 120-B (felony conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Police Station Division-C Amritsar Commissionerate.

The event follows a chronic inquiry into mismanagement and record-keeping discrepancies on the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan, the publishing home of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in Amritsar.
