These arrested have been recognized as Gurwinder Singh alias Gopi (23), a resident of village Shahwala in Ferozepur; Tilak alias Shibu (18), a local of Rajiv Gandhi Vihar, Jalandhar and presently residing at Mustafabad in Amritsar; and Daljit Singh alias Lala (20), a local of village Naushera Dhalla and presently residing at village Mustafabad in Amritsar.
DGP mentioned that preliminary investigation has revealed that the arrested accused have been in touch with a foreign-based handler by means of social media platforms and, on his instructions, they have been transporting and supplying consignments of heroin and unlawful arms throughout totally different places.
