A Gurugram resident has approached the town’s cyber police alleging {that a} faux property commercial circulating on WhatsApp and different social media platforms has falsely projected his luxurious penthouse in DLF Golf Hyperlinks as a “misery deal”, inflicting reputational injury and psychological misery, officers stated.
In line with the criticism submitted to the police commissioner, an unidentified particular person posing as a dealer has been circulating messages on WhatsApp statuses and teams claiming {that a} penthouse situated at The Magnolias, DLF Golf Hyperlinks on Golf Course Highway, is being offered at a distressed worth of ₹70 crore. The complainant said that the property just isn’t on sale and that he has been residing there for over a decade.
The complainant, Kunwer Sachdev, founding father of Su-Kam and Su-vastika, stated the misuse of such terminology was deceptive and defamatory. “The usage of the time period ‘misery deal’ wrongly implies monetary hardship and creates a false narrative in society. That is fraudulent and defamatory, and such circumstances are on the rise,” Sachdev stated, urging police to determine the individual behind the commercial, cease its circulation and provoke authorized motion.

Responding to the criticism, Priyanshu Dewan, assistant commissioner of police (cybercrime), stated an inquiry has been initiated. “All particulars associated to the criticism are being collected.
