An 18-year-old lady died after allegedly consuming a substance meant for killing rodents as an alternative of cough syrup at Sector 4 in Faridabad, police mentioned on Wednesday.
The deceased, a Class 12 pupil at a non-public faculty in Faridabad, had reportedly fallen unwell final week with cough and chilly and was prescribed treatment by a health care provider, the household advised police.
In keeping with police, the incident allegedly befell on Saturday night after she returned dwelling and the prescribed syrup was positioned close to a bottle containing a toxic liquid used for rodent management.
