Chandigarh/Amritsar: Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav has disclosed that in a serious breakthrough, Amritsar Commissionerate Police has dismantled a drug & unlawful arms smuggling module, arrested one accused and recovered 2.1 kg Heroin together with 7 refined pistols.
In a tweet, He disclosed that preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested accused was involved with foreign-based smuggler by way of digital numbers and was receiving consignments of medicine and arms for additional distribution in #Punjab. He stated {that a} case has been registered at PS C-Division, Amritsar. Additional investigation is underway to ascertain ahead and backward linkages of this community and to determine different associates concerned.
