New Delhi, March 14
The Military has handed over to the CBI a probe into alleged irregularities in a check held in Punjab for number of officers, official sources stated on Sunday.
The Military was conducting inside investigation into the alleged malpractices within the check in one of many centres in Punjab, they stated.
The Service Choice Board check was being carried out by Service Choice Centres in Punjab someday again, the sources stated.
The probe by the Military was initiated based mostly on inputs by its navy intelligence wing and different complaints.
“The probe has been handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation as a number of companies, together with a number of civilian ones, are concerned in the complete course of,” stated a supply.
The Military had launched a probe into the alleged malpractices after receiving complaints about them.
“The Military doesn’t tolerate any irregularities or corruption. So, a CBI probe has been ordered into the case,” the supply stated. —PTI
