Yamunanagar, November 19
Breaking myths and superstitions, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar as we speak participated within the historic Kapal Mochan Mela.
The five-day historic Kapal Mochan Mela concluded as we speak with pilgrims taking a dip within the sarovars at Kapal Mochan right here. Pilgrims from Punjab, Haryana and different states participated within the mela.
Khattar is the one Chief Minister who has participated within the mela in 50 years.
As a result of superstition that if an MP or MLA joins Kapal Mochan Mela, he/she wouldn’t be elected an MP or MLA once more, no Chief Minister had come to the mela since 1970.
“A couple of days in the past, once I got here to find out about such myths and superstitions related to this holy place, I made a decision to interrupt all of them as I don’t consider in such superstitions,” the CM mentioned.
The CM mentioned the world from Kalesar in Yamunanagar to Kalka in Panchkula could be developed for pilgrimage and tourism.
Round 2 lakh devotees took a dip within the mela on Thursday night.
