The anti-corruption probe company CBI on Friday mentioned it has arrested Vijay Sehra, the Superintendent of Central Items & Companies Tax (CGST) posted at Vary V in Chandigarh, for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant.
A senior company official mentioned a case was registered beneath Part 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act (As amended in 2018) in opposition to Sehra.
“It was alleged that the complainant had obtained a summon from the Superintendent of CGST, Vary V, Chandigarh by means of submit whereby he was directed to seem within the workplace together with paperwork as talked about within the summon.
