To forestall additional unfold of coronavirus, the UT Administration immediately declared 15 extra micro-containment zones within the metropolis.
District Justice of the Peace Mandip Singh Brar acknowledged that the problem of Covid-19 outbreak was additional studied and examined by a committee and a thought of view emerged that the affected areas be declared as micro-containment zones.
He, nevertheless, stated common screening and monitoring of the areas would proceed. Frequent sanitisation of the areas could be carried out and residents have been suggested to strictly keep social distancing, put on masks and observe hand hygiene.
As many as 33 micro-containment zones have been declared within the metropolis on April 29.
The affected areas declared as micro-containment zones are a part of Sectors 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 25, Sarangpur, Khuda Lahora, and Dhanas villages. — TPR
