The Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) of the Indian Military commemorated its 78th 12 months of elevating on the Western Command headquarters at Chandimandir close to right here on Thursday.
Main Basic V R Deshmukh, the senior-most EME officer and different EME personnel in Chandimandir army station paid homage to courageous martyrs of the Corps in a solemn wreath laying ceremony, a defence launch stated right here.
The Corps of EME, also called ‘Eagles’ have carved a distinct segment for themselves in offering devoted engineering assist to the myriad gear held with Indian Military, it stated.
“Since inception in 1943, the Corps has reworked itself to fulfill the technological challenges within the modern-day battlefield and has proven large resilience in adapting to the necessity of the hour, the discharge stated.
“The personnel of the Corps have excelled in creating progressive options and now have a serious position within the push for indigenisation efforts. The Eagles have proved their mettle in all fields and lived upto their motto ‘Karam-hi- Dharm’,” it stated. PTI
