Chandigarh, July 27
The UT Administration has written to the Central Authorities over the standard of ventilators supplied to them below the PM Cares Fund after the PGI raised the problem of substandard high quality of ventilators.
Round 20 ventilators had been obtained by the UT Administration below the PM Cares Fund, of which 10 ventilators every had been supplied to the PGI and to the GMCH, Sector 32. The PGI had reported sure faults with the ventilators supplied by the UT Administration. The producer of the batch despatched to the PGI differs from the one despatched to the GMCH.
BS Chavan, Director-cum-Principal, GMCH, stated, “Of the 10 ventilators given to the GMCH, the standard of two ventilators is being examined on the Sector 48 Civil Hospital. Now we have been utilizing these ventilators for the previous six days and the report is passable.” — TNS
