Delhi Setting Minister Gopal Rai will maintain an important assembly with senior officers on Tuesday to debate methods to cope with excessive ranges of air pollution within the metropolis in winters, officers mentioned.
They mentioned the minister will evaluation progress of the annual plantation train. The problem of stubble burning in neighbouring states may also be taken up through the assembly.
The Delhi authorities has set a goal of planting 31 lakh saplings through the 12 months 2020-21.
Round 19 lakh saplings have already been planted within the metropolis by varied businesses since March this 12 months, in line with authorities information.
In keeping with the Central Air pollution Management Board, stubble burning by farmers in Punjab and Haryana contributed considerably to air air pollution in Delhi final 12 months with the share of farm fireplace smoke in particulate matter peaking to 44 per cent in November.
