“Solely dwell singing/enjoying of devices by professionals shall be allowed,” stated the rule, which meant unbiased eating places or bars, not connected to accommodations or visitor homes, wanted to have interaction bands to entertain purchasers.
Nonetheless, the clause has now been tweaked beneath the amended guidelines notified on Might 31. “Any kind of leisure/efficiency together with music and musical devices, dancing, or singing by professionals or DJ, Reside Bands, and karaoke might be permitted,” it says.
Complaints of loud music from residents staying close to leisure hubs at Larger Kailash, Defence Colony, Khan Market and Rajouri Backyard prompted the ban on recorded music, officers had claimed then.
The eating places then identified that such an archaic rule had no enterprise these days as participating bands around the clock would enhance bills. The issue of loud music might be tackled individually by penalising these violating noise air pollution norms at evening, the trade had stated.
