The Panchkula police at the moment claimed to have arrested a Delhi resident, an accused in an unlawful liquor manufacturing unit case. The unlawful manufacturing unit was unearthed on the HSIIDC, Barwala, on Might 25.
The suspect has been recognized as Amit Goyal, a resident of Pitampura, North Delhi. He was produced earlier than a courtroom, which remanded him in judicial custody.
Earlier, the police had arrested seven suspects – Dinesh Bansal, Rahul Gupta, Sanjeev Singla, Ankit, Monty, Kamal and Ravi – on this connection.
It’s pertinent to say right here that the CM Flying Squad had acquired a tip-off that some individuals had been manufacturing and promoting unlawful liquor from a manufacturing unit at Barwala. The suspects had been supplying liquor on the pretext of organising water filtration techniques. A crew, led by ASI Vinod Kumar, and two officers of the Excise Division raided the manufacturing unit on Might 25. Once they entered the premises, 4 suspects had been packing liquor bottles.
A case below the Punjab Excise Act, Haryana Excise Act and Sections 420, 308 and 120-B of the IPC had been registered towards the suspects. — TPR
