Amid the coronavirus surge, 1000’s of devotees on Saturday paid obeisance at gurdwaras throughout Punjab to commemorate the 400th Prakash Purb celebrations of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib.
Spiritual fervour was seen at Harmandar Sahib, the holiest of Sikh shrines also called Golden Temple, in Amritsar and different historic gurdwaras throughout the area as devotees started to assemble since early morning to supply prayers and hearken to the ‘kirtan’ or hymns.
The Golden Temple complicated was adorned with lights to mark the event.
Chief Minister Amarinder Singh greeted folks on the event and urged them to look at the occasions on tv and provide ‘ardas’ for ‘Sarbat Da Bhala’ from their houses and keep away from congregating on the spiritual locations in view of the pandemic.
