Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Wednesday directed procurement companies to make sure immediate lifting of wheat produce and well timed cost to farmers by means of the newly launched Direct Profit Switch (DBT) system in the course of the ongoing rabi advertising and marketing season.
Reviewing procurement at a digital assembly together with his Cupboard, the Chief Minister ordered strict adherence to the Covid protocol amid the present surge. He urged all these farmers, arhtiyas, labourers, workers of procurement companies and different stakeholders over 45 years of age who go to mandis to get themselves vaccinated.
On the provision of gunny baggage, the Chief Minister was knowledgeable by KAP Sinha, Principal Secretary, Meals, Civil Provides and Shopper Affairs, that the problem had been resolved and there was no scarcity. As of now, 19.19 crore gunny baggage have already been used for wheat packaging. The procurement of wheat commenced on April 10 and in a span of 18 days, 98 LMT wheat has arrived in mandis, of which 95.97 LMT has been procured.
