Nationwide Convention President Farooq Abdullah Monday appeared earlier than the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in reference to a case linked to alleged monetary irregularities within the Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Affiliation, officers stated.
The ED had earlier questioned Abdullah in July in reference to the case, and his assertion was recorded below the Prevention of Cash Laundering Act (PMLA). It had filed a cash laundering case after taking cognizance of a CBI FIR and chargesheet.
The chargesheet was filed in July final 12 months in opposition to Abdullah and three others for allegedly misappropriating over Rs 43 crore from grants given by the Board of Management for Cricket in India to the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Affiliation (JKCA) for selling the game within the state between 2002-11.
