Haryana forms first-ever Assembly panel on women empowerment under Nari Shakti Initiative

Chandigarh: In a big transfer in direction of strengthening womens empowerment, the Haryana Vidhan Sabha has authorized the formation of a Particular Meeting Committee on Girls Empowerment, turning into the primary state within the nation to take such an initiative.

 

The decision, moved by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mahipal Dhanda, was unanimously handed throughout a one-day session of the Meeting, following a proposal by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Asserting the choice, Speaker Harvinder Kalyan stated a nine-member committee can be constituted, together with 5 girls members, with one serving because the chairperson. The committee can have a tenure of 1 yr.
