The committee has members from the Punjab Civil Medical Providers’ Affiliation and is supported by the Punjab State Veterinary Officers’ Affiliation, Rural Medical Officers’ Affiliation, Punjab Dental Medical Officers’ Affiliation and the Punjab Ayurveda Officers’ Affiliation.
Punjab Civil Medical Providers’ Affiliation president Dr Gagandeep Singh mentioned they have been upset with the Sixth Pay Fee, which beneficial delinking non-practicing allowance (NPA) from the essential pay, which might adversely hit their wage and pension advantages.
Protesting docs mentioned the fee had beneficial discount within the NPA from 25 per cent to 20 per cent.
