New Delhi: India has registered a major surge in export of agricultural and processed meals merchandise in April-October interval of present monetary yr 2021-22 (FY22), compared to the corresponding seven month interval of final fiscal (FY21).
In line with the Fast Estimates launched by the Directorate Common of Industrial Intelligence and Statistics (DGCI&S) on Friday, the general export of Agricultural and Processed Meals Merchandise Export Improvement Authority (APEDA) merchandise witnessed 14.7 per cent progress by way of US greenback throughout April-October this yr over the identical interval of final fiscal.

The general export of APEDA merchandise elevated from $10,157 million to $11,651 million, it added.
Rice exports recorded a progress of 10.5 per cent within the first seven month of FY22.
The exports of contemporary vegatables and fruits registered a 11.6 per cent progress; whereas cargo of processed meals merchandise like cereals preparations and miscellaneous processed gadgets reported a progress of 29 per cent.
The nation reported a major 85.4 per cent soar in export of different cereals whereas the export of meat, dairy and poultry merchandise witnessed a rise 15.6 per cent.
The cashew export witnessed a progress of 29.2 per cent in April-October 2021.
