Jind-Sonipat Hydrogen Train travelled 1200 kms; 3,000 litres of diesel exhaust replaced with water vapours

New Delhi : Indias first Hydrogen Prepare was flagged off between Jind and Sonipat on July 17 close to Delhi. To date, the practice has travelled over 1200 kilometres seamlessly, saving diesel consumption of greater than 3200 litres, a press launch from the Railway Ministry mentioned.

The Hydrogen Prepare generates electrical energy onboard by a chemical response between hydrogen and oxygen. The method produces electrical energy to energy the practice whereas emitting solely water vapour as a by-product. There isn’t any smoke and no tailpipe carbon emissions, making it the cleanest type of rail propulsion presently out there.
