Job promise: Sirsa man booked for duping residents of Rs 38 lakh

A Sirsa resident has been booked for allegedly duping a number of individuals of Rs 38 lakh on the pretext of offering them job of laptop operator within the Training Division in Haryana.

On the criticism of three individuals, Devi Lal of Karnal’s Badarpur village, Ponam Kumari of Sector 40, Chandigarh, and Rakesh Kumar of Ambala’s Thambar village, a case was registered towards Gaurav of Sirsa district beneath Sections 420, 406 and 506 of the IPC on September 3.

Of their criticism, Devi Lal and Rakesh mentioned they had been working as contractors in a personal firm of Yamunanagar and each had been dwelling in a rented room.

They mentioned Gaurav of Sirsa was recognized to them and, someday, he met them at their rented room in February 2021, when he instructed them that he might get them recruited in authorities faculties as laptop operators.

“Gaurav bought the interviews of Devi Lal, Ponam and Rakesh and a few of their family and mates utilized for the put up of laptop operators in Panchkula,” alleged the complainants.

They alleged that after the interview, Gaurav demanded cash from all those that appeared within the interview and picked up Rs 38 lakh from them, however didn’t present them the job.

After they protested, he gave them some cheques, which had been dishonoured.
