A person drove his SUV into the Bhakra canal on Chandigarh street right here on Saturday.
In accordance with a diver who was out for a morning stroll on the financial institution of the canal, the SUV occupant tried to hit him after which drove into the canal close to Bheora village.
He, together with different divers, tried to rescue the person, however with out success, the diver mentioned.
The deceased has been recognized as Gudhian Singh of Mohali. He was a former Zila Parishad chairman of Mohali.
