Union Street Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has directed the authorities involved to expedite the pending initiatives in regards to the ministry in Ambala.
This was conveyed throughout his assembly with Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Social Justice Rattan Lal Kataria.
Kataria met Gadkari relating to infrastructure initiatives pertaining to Ambala Lok Sabha constituency which is represented by him (Kataria).
The initiatives that figured in the course of the discussions embody Ambala-Chandigarh Categorical Freeway Greenfield Tasks Shamli-Ambala Greenfield Mission, Saha-Shahabad, Yamunanagar-Karera Khurd overbridge, Ambala Shastri Nagar vehicular overpass (VOP), Zirakpur-Panchkula bypass, bridge linking Panchkula Sector 20 and Sector 12, Surajpur bypass and Baddi-Pinjore initiatives.
Kataria instructed mediapersons after the assembly that he additionally thanked Gadkari for giving approval to the Ambala Ring Street Mission.
“With this street, Ambala Cantt and Ambala Metropolis will eliminate heavy site visitors coming from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh,” Kataria stated.
Kataria steered to Gadkari that as Delhi, Gurugram and Faridabad are densely populated and witness site visitors congestion, Ambala — at a distance of 200 km from Delhi — might be developed as a transport hub for these 5 states.
Kataria additionally thanked Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar for approving the Ambala Ring Street Mission and invited him for its ‘Bhoomi poojan’.
