The incident passed off between 12.15 am and 12.30 am on Friday close to Rezang La Chowk, the place Ram Mishra, 38, was attending to clients at his stall. Police mentioned one suspect arrived in a Toyota Etios and requested Mishra to fetch cigarettes, parathas and tea.

A senior police officer mentioned Mishra alleged that when the suspect insisted on being served without spending a dime, he requested him to pay as an alternative. “Mishra refused and continued serving different clients, after which the suspect made a cellphone name. Six of his associates then reached the spot in a Mahindra Thar and assaulted the proprietor with none provocation,” the officer mentioned.
Police mentioned Mishra’s worker, Ganesh Sunar, 33, tried to intervene however was additionally assaulted and fled the spot.
