Panthic groups burn copies of High Court verdict

Kotkapura, April 30

Up in arms towards the Punjab and Haryana Excessive Courtroom verdict on SIT report regarding Kotkapura firing incident, Panthic teams led by former Akal Takhat Jathedar Ranjit Singh in the present day burnt the copies of the judgment, terming it political and flawed.

Numerous activists gathered on the Kotkapura Foremost Chowk carrying placards and raised slogans and burnt copies of the judgment.

The protest was organised on the identical spot the place the alleged police firing on October 14, 2015, occurred. Former Chief of Opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira stated they marked their protest and anger towards the flawed judgment by burning its copies.

SAD (Democratic) chief Parminder Singh Dhindsa stated they didn’t anticipate any justice from the current authorities because the HC verdict had mirrored its utter failure in defending the SIT report within the courtroom. — TPR
