The UT Vigilance Division at the moment nabbed a patwari of the Income Division, Chandigarh, whereas allegedly taking Rs2,000 as bribe.
The complainant had alleged that he wanted a duplicate of ‘fard’ of his home for switch objective following which he approached the Patwari workplace in Burail. The complainant alleged that Patwari Vinod Kumar demanded Rs5,000 as bribe for the work, however settled the deal for Rs4,000. The complainant alleged that he had already given Rs2,000 to the suspect and the latter was demanding the remaining Rs2,000.
A crew consisting impartial witnesses and officers of the Vigilance police station was constituted underneath Deepak Yadav, OSD Vigilance, and Inspector Dalbir Singh. A lure was laid on the Patwari workplace in Burail and the suspect was arrested red-handed whereas accepting the bribe of Rs2,000. A case has been registered. —TPR
