Actor Pooja Bhatt had initially refused to be part of Netflix collection Bombay Begums. Pooja, who did a cameo in Sadak 2 (2020), will quickly be making a full-fledged comeback with the Alankrita Shrivastava directed net collection Bombay Begums.
Talking about why she was not assured about enjoying the character of Rani in Bombay Begums, Pooja mentioned in an announcement, “They despatched me a synopsis. I beloved the world. I assumed that these 4 characters, these 4 ladies, have been fairly fascinating. I used to be touched that they considered me however I needed to, sadly, say no. And for no matter it’s price, they determined to push their schedule. Then, they got here again to me just a few months later.”
“I simply determined to take the leap. I assumed that when life is banging in your door, the least you are able to do is throw it open and let life in. So I simply mentioned sure. And I believe it’s the perfect determination I’ve made,” she added.
Bombay Begums explores the desires and wishes of 5 ladies from completely different strata of society as they struggle for survival within the Most Metropolis. In response to its trailer, the collection revolves centrally round Pooja Bhatt’s character Rani, and the way her life will get intertwined with the opposite 4 ladies – Lily, Fatima, Shai and Ayesha.
Additionally starring Shahana Goswami, Amruta Subhash, Plabita Borthakur and Aadhya Anand, Bombay Begums premieres on Netflix on March 8.
