Punjab Police on Friday claimed to have busted an interstate drug smuggling racket with the seizure of an enormous amount of opium smuggled from Jharkhand.
Performing on a tip-off, a police group intercepted two vehicles on Ram Tirath Highway and searched them following which 17 kg of opium in addition to a pistol and Rs 1.10 lakh in money have been recovered, police mentioned.
