R Balakrishna Pillai, Kerala Congress (B) chairman and former minister died at a non-public hospital in his hometown Kottarakkara on Monday resulting from age-related illnesses, in response to his household. He was 86. R Balakrishna Pillai entered politics throughout his pupil days. He was a member of the College students Federation earlier than becoming a member of the Congress. R Balakrishna Pillai was a member of the AICC from 1958 to 1964. Having been elected to the Meeting in 1960 from the Pathanapuram seat on the age of 25, R Balakrishna Pillai give up the Congress in 1964 and fashioned the Kerala Congress (B) together with senior chief KM George.
R Balakrishna Pillai received the election from his dwelling constituency Kottarakara in 1965, however was defeated within the subsequent two polls in 1967 and 1970.
