A Delhi courtroom on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to gangster-turned-activist Lakha Sidhana in a case associated to his alleged involvement within the violence that ensued on the Purple Fort right here on Republic Day.
Further Periods Choose Kamini Lau granted pre-arrest bail to Sidhana.
Advocate Jasdeep Dhillon, representing the accused, mentioned he had joined the probe and totally cooperated with the investigating company.
Earlier, Public Prosecutor Pankaj Bhatia, representing the police, informed the courtroom that Sidhana had invited the protesters to the Purple Fort and is likely one of the important conspirators within the case.
Sidhana, nonetheless, denied any involvement within the Republic Day violence.
On January 26, protesting farmers clashed with police through the tractor rally in opposition to three farm legal guidelines and stormed into the Purple Fort, hoisting non secular flags on its domes and injuring scores of policemen. PTI
