The police have busted a racket promoting duplicate every day use articles and arrested two individuals right here. The suspects, each shopkeepers, have been recognized as Kajheri residents Kapil Dev (30) and Ashok Kumar (32). They have been produced in a court docket, which despatched them to two-day police remand.
The police mentioned the duo used to buy substandard consumable objects similar to salt, tea and detergent. They used to repackage these things in branded wrappers and promote it to public out there.
The police recovered 765 kg of salt, 332 kg of detergent powder and 242.eight kg of tea in pretend packets from one store and 4,770 kg of salt, one sizzling press sealing machine, one transportable bag stitching machine, pouches of shampoo, empty packets of salt, 69.250 kg of tea in pretend packets amongst others from one other store.
A case beneath Part 420 of the IPC and Sections 63 and 65 of the Copyright Act was registered towards the duo on the Sector 36 police station yesterday.
Performing on info supplied by Romesh Dutt, M/S Pace Search and Safety Networks Non-public Restricted, relating to the sale of duplicate consumable merchandise by Kapil Dev, proprietor of M/S Ganesh Karyana Retailer, Sector 52, Kajheri, and Ashok, proprietor of M/S RK Enterprises, the police seized duplicate objects packed in pretend branded packets.
The suspects used to obtain duplicate merchandise from Delhi, the police mentioned.
