Filmmaker Ridley Scott’s historic drama The Final Duel will hit the theatres within the nation on October 22, the makers introduced on Thursday. Directed by Scott, The Final Duel is headlined by Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer and Ben Affleck.
The film is described as “a gripping story of betrayal and vengeance set towards the brutality of 14th century France”. It’s backed by 20th Century Studios and Scott.
“Primarily based on precise occasions, the historic epic unravels long-held assumptions about France’s final sanctioned duel between Jean de Carrouges (Damon) and Jacques Le Gris (Driver), two mates turned bitter rivals,” the synopsis learn.
Damon and Affleck, who had famously received an Oscar for Greatest Authentic Screenplay for his or her 1997 film Good Will Looking, have penned the script with Nicole Holofcener, the Oscar-nominated scribe of Can You Ever Forgive Me?.
The Final Duel had its world premiere on the Venice Movie Competition earlier this month.
