State BJP president Om Prakash Dhankar has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to point out political will in resolving the long-pending imbroglio in regards to the Sutlej-Yamuna Hyperlink (SYL) canal.
“Haryana and its farmers have been ready for his or her share of the SYL canal waters for lengthy. It is a chance for Capt Amarinder to point out political will and take a call. Punjab is a ‘daata’ (giver) and Haryana is a ‘leta’ (taker) on this matter,” he instructed the media right here on Tuesday.
The Supreme Courtroom has requested the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Haryana to try a negotiated settlement of the SYL canal subject that has defied any resolution for many years despite a number of rounds of litigation.
In the meantime, Dhankar mentioned BJP president JP Nadda would inaugurate social gathering’s places of work in six districts — Rewari, Hisar, Nuh, Palwal, Fatehabad and Sonepat — by video-conferencing on Wednesday.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar would take part from Chandigarh, whereas Dhankar could be current on the Hisar operate.
