Delhi Police Commissioner Balaji Srivastava Thursday issued an order prohibiting flying of “sub-conventional aerial platforms” like paragliders, paramotors, UAV, hot-air balloons and para-jumping from plane in Delhi till Independence Day.
The order comes into pressure from July 16 and will probably be adopted until August 16 for safety causes forward of Independence Day.
The order says offenders will probably be booked below IPC part 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant).
“It has been reported that sure criminals, anti-social components or terrorists inimical to India might pose a menace to the protection of most people, dignitaries and important installations through the use of sub-conventional aerial platforms like paragliders, paramotors, hang-gliders, Unmanned Aerial Automobiles (UAVs), remotely piloted plane, hot-air balloons, quadcopters or para-jumping from plane and so on,” the order acknowledged.
The order has been despatched to all DCPs, Further DCPs, ACPs, police stations, NDMC, MCD. PWD, DDA and Delhi Cantonment Board, to affix it on discover boards.
