UK jails nine climate activists for blocking roads

9 British local weather change protesters had been jailed on Wednesday for breaching an injunction meant to stop them from blocking busy roads as a part of their marketing campaign to lift consciousness about local weather change.

The protests by Insulate Britain, a gaggle demanding that the federal government insulate hundreds of thousands of houses, have brought on lengthy tailbacks and halted visitors on roads such because the M25 motorway that encircles London, angering drivers and politicians.

Insulate Britain mentioned the 9 individuals, aged between 20 and 58, had been convicted of contempt of courtroom and sentenced to between three and 6 months in jail.

Insulate Britain launched their marketing campaign in September, strolling onto busy motorways to attach themselves to the highway and cease visitors from passing. They’ve targetted main motorways, roads in London and the Port of Dover.
