Waiter attacked with knife, robbed of mobile in Panchkula

Panchkula, November 17

A waiter at an area restaurant was attacked with a knife and robbed of his pockets and a cell phone by three masked males close to the Sector 17/18 roundabout within the wee hours of Tuesday.

The sufferer, Suman Karki, a local of Nepal who works on the Sizzling Feast restaurant in Sector 16, was strolling again to his current residence in Mani Majra alongside together with his fellow employee after responsibility hours when the incident occurred.

‘’Round 50 metre from the roundabout, three males on a bike parked their automobile alongside the street. Two of them approached us with knives of their fingers and blocked our means. Quickly, they threatened us to provide no matter we’ve got with us.

“After we each resisted, considered one of them attacked my left thigh with the blade and the opposite took away the cell phone and pockets from my pocket. In the meantime, my fellow employee, Rakesh Adhikari, managed to run away from the spot,’’ he advised the police, including that they had been additionally carrying a pistol

After committing the crime, the suspects fled the scene on their bike in direction of Sector 8.

The sufferer was taken to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6. A case was registered on the Sector 14 police station below part 392 (punishment for theft) and 394 (voluntarily inflicting harm in committing theft) of the IPC. — TPR
