A case of two suspicious deaths — of a girl from Nagaland and her nephew — in southwest Delhi final month has been handed over to the CBI for additional investigation.
Rosy Sangma, an airhostess dwelling in a rented lodging in Bijwasan along with her nephew Samuel, died on June 24 in a Gurgaon hospital, allegedly after consuming ice-cream. Samuel, who alleged negligence on a part of the hospital, was allegedly crushed up by hospital workers and a day later discovered lifeless in his residence.
“The Union Dwelling Ministry has requested the CBI to inquire into the case of the deaths,” an announcement by MHA mentioned.
The incident had created a furore among the many Northeastern neighborhood in Delhi-NCR and in Nagaland. Former Meghalaya MP Agatha Sangma too was reported to have written to MHA for a radical investigation.
